If movies and television are to be believed, then the average Southern Californian college graduate says “dude” three-hundred times a day, wears sandals, and is a major slacker. That image does not befit Daniel Futa, a recent graduate who lives in Southern California. In May of last year (2010), Daniel Futa graduated from USC, the University of Southern California. He received two degrees from the College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences, both Bachelor’s degrees, in History and Political Science.

History and political science are two subjects that interest Daniel Futa, his attaining two degrees in those fields should be a major clue. However, it would be a mistake to assume Futa was just a bookworm. His fraternity at the University of Southern California, Zeta Beta Tau, elected him Vice President. While this is certainly a big honor within the fraternity, it also comes with many responsibilities. Besides being the second ranking member of the Executive Board, the Vice President handles programming, scheduling, and the daily activities of the fraternity.

Daniel Futa is also a proud graduate of Colorado Academy. He graduated in June of 2006 after serving as Student Body President of that institution. After graduating from the University of Southern California, Futa worked as an intern for a Los Angeles-based firm called CitiGroup – Smith Barney.
